Pinterest engaged in a partnership with Tastemade, creating an opportunity for events to be hosted globally.
i had the honor of co-leading the first US event within this partnership and supporting our second event, engaging creators of all backgrounds and followings to be inspired and connect with one another, bolstering our audience development and retention strategies, while strengthening our creator management sentiments.
our first event primarily focused on relationship building opportunities for managed creators, allowing them to feel inspired and connected with the pinterest team and with one another.
in this collaboration with tastemade, Programming included a kick off from the chief content officer of pinterest, malik ducard and the ceo of tastemade steven kydd, self love letters that were mailed to the creators post event, bracelet making, squiggly candle making, cupcake making, a wellness station filled with healthy drinks and snacks and a self doubt shredding station, a "how" pinterest makes me feel wall and an aura photobooth station.
creators ended the night enjoying a variety of small business owned food kiosks catering to a variety of dietary preferences and restrictions, including the sweet treat of holy grail taro donuts and hot beverages.
our second event was intended to serve as an opportunity for newer creators to become more familiar with pinterest and our creator management team, while also creating an opportunity to place a spotlight on our diverse creator community as we head into the holiday gifting season.
We set up a holiday market highlighting bipoc businesses, hosted panels to answer creator's burning questions about being successful on platform, reimplemented our self love letter station, invited a tarot card reader, set up a wreath making station, and wrapped up the night with more amazing small business food kiosks to make sure our creators left with full minds, hearts, and bellies.
